Description
A charming DIY wreath made from yellow coffee filters that brings a touch of spring and renewal into your home.
Ingredients
- Yellow coffee filters (large size recommended)
- Green floral wire or sturdy wire wreath frame (or cardboard circle)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)
- Scissors (sharp enough to cut through wire)
- Acrylic paint (yellow, green, or colors of your choice)
- Paintbrush (if choosing to paint)
- Ribbon or twine (for hanging, optional)
- Optional embellishments (like beads or buttons)
Instructions
- Start by preparing your work area, spreading newspapers to protect against glue drips.
- Take a few coffee filters and fold them in half, then in half again to create a bloom shape.
- Arrange your blossoms on the wire frame or cardboard circle, visualizing the overall look before gluing.
- Once satisfied with the layout, secure each blossom with glue.
- Create leaves by cutting additional coffee filters into leaf shapes and attach them around the blossoms.
- After all blooms and leaves are attached, consider painting the edges with acrylic paint and allow to dry.
- For hanging, tie a ribbon or twine around the top of the wreath and make a gentle knot.
- Step back and admire your work.
Notes
Store the wreath flat in a box or on a shelf, away from sunlight. Wrap in tissue paper for added protection.
