- A fresh white rose
- ½ cup borax
- 2 cups hot water
- A heatproof container (like a glass bowl or jar)
- A spoon (for stirring)
- A small piece of string or fishing line (optional, for hanging)

Instructions
- Fill your heatproof container with about two cups of hot water.
- Add approximately half a cup of borax to the water, stirring gently.
- Trim the stem of the white rose to about six inches long.
- Lower the rose into the borax solution and allow it to float momentarily.
- Optional: Tie a piece of string around the rose stem to hang it inside the container.
- Allow the rose to soak overnight, untouched.
- Remove the rose from the solution and rinse it lightly under cool water.
- Set your rose on a flat surface to dry completely.
