Description

Transform a fresh white rose into a sparkling crystal keepsake using a borax solution, providing a beautiful reminder of nature’s beauty.

Ingredients

  • A fresh white rose
  • ½ cup borax
  • 2 cups hot water
  • A heatproof container (like a glass bowl or jar)
  • A spoon (for stirring)
  • A small piece of string or fishing line (optional, for hanging)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Fill your heatproof container with about two cups of hot water.
  2. Add approximately half a cup of borax to the water, stirring gently.
  3. Trim the stem of the white rose to about six inches long.
  4. Lower the rose into the borax solution and allow it to float momentarily.
  5. Optional: Tie a piece of string around the rose stem to hang it inside the container.
  6. Allow the rose to soak overnight, untouched.
  7. Remove the rose from the solution and rinse it lightly under cool water.
  8. Set your rose on a flat surface to dry completely.

Notes

Handle with care to preserve the beauty of the crystal rose. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
