Description
Learn how to create vibrant water crystals at home with simple ingredients and steps.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of water crystals (polymer beads)
- 1 quart of water
- Food coloring (optional)
- Mixing bowl
- Strainer or colander
- Airtight container for storage
Instructions
- Fill a mixing bowl with 1 quart of water. Optional: Add a few drops of food coloring for a pop of color.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water crystals into the bowl of water. Observe as the crystals begin to absorb water and expand.
- Allow the crystals to soak for about 4-6 hours. Enjoy watching as the beads transform into colorful, squishy spheres.
- Once fully expanded, use a strainer or colander to drain any excess water.
- Transfer the hydrated water crystals to an airtight container for future use. Keep them in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to craft.
Notes
Customize colors with different food colorings or add essential oils for a pleasant aroma. Water crystals can be reused by soaking them again in water.
