Description

Create colorful, tie-dye bouncy balls that are both fun and visually stunning. Ideal for playtime and craft activities.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of white school glue
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of borax
  • Food coloring or liquid watercolors
  • Bowels for mixing
  • Elastic balloons (5” or 6”)
  • A spoon for mixing
  • A whisk or a fork (optional, for mixing)
  • Gloves (optional, to avoid staining hands)

Instructions

  1. In one bowl, mix 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white school glue. Stir well until combined.
  2. In another bowl, dissolve 1 teaspoon of borax in 1/2 cup of hot water. Stir until fully dissolved and let it cool.
  3. Divide your glue mixture into smaller bowls based on the colors you want and add food coloring or liquid watercolors to each bowl.
  4. Slowly pour the borax solution into the colored glue mixture and stir quickly.
  5. Let the mixture sit for a minute, then take a portion and roll it into a ball shape.
  6. Stretch the neck of an elastic balloon, insert the bouncy ball, and tie it off securely.
  7. Place the bouncy balls in a safe place to dry for a few hours or overnight.

Notes

Consider adding glitter or glow-in-the-dark paint for extra fun!
