Ingredients
- Cardstock or heavy watercolor paper
- White school glue
- Salt (table salt)
- Liquid watercolors or food coloring
- Small cups for mixing
- Paintbrushes
- A tray or a large sheet of paper
- A small container for mixing colors (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by laying out your workspace.
- Use a pencil to lightly sketch your design on the cardstock.
- Squeeze glue generously over your pencil lines.
- While the glue is still wet, gently pour salt over the glued areas.
- Carefully shake off excess salt onto the tray or paper below.
- In your mixing cups, add a few drops of liquid watercolor or food coloring into water.
- With your paintbrush, delicately paint over the salt-covered areas.
- Allow your artwork to dry completely.
- Once dry, carefully brush off any excess salt that remains.
- Finally, step back and admire your creation!
