Description

A meditative DIY project that combines creativity with mindfulness as you create beautiful stained glass window art.

Ingredients

  • Clear plastic sheet or old windowpane
  • Stained glass glue
  • Acrylic paints in vibrant colors
  • Small paintbrushes or sponge applicators
  • Scissors or craft knife
  • Graphite pencil
  • Paper for drafts
  • Optional: glitter or metallic accents

Instructions

  1. Begin by deciding on your design. Sketch lightly on the paper with your graphite pencil.
  2. Once your design feels right, transfer it onto the plastic sheet or windowpane.
  3. Pour a small amount of stained glass glue into a dish. Dip your brush gently into the glue and start outlining the shapes of your design.
  4. After outlining, select your first color of acrylic paint and fill in the areas inside the outlined shapes.
  5. Continue adding color to your design, allowing the creative process to unfold.
  6. If you like, sprinkle some glitter or metallic accents onto wet paint.
  7. Allow the artwork to dry completely.
  8. Once dry, carefully peel your stained glass glue window art from the plastic sheet and trim any uneven edges.
  9. Finally, choose a lovely spot to display your new artwork.

Notes

For best results, use stained glass glue for flexibility and vibrant effects. Clean gently with a damp cloth.
