Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- Food coloring (black, blue, purple)
- Glitter (silver, gold, or iridescent)
- Mixing bowl
- Stove or microwave
- Cooking spoon
- Airtight container for storage
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix the water and vegetable oil. Gradually pour this wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Divide the mixture into three bowls. Add drops of food coloring to each bowl to achieve your desired galaxy hues.
- Place the bowls in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle glitter into the warm dough, mixing thoroughly.
- Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead until it becomes soft and pliable.
- Store the completed galaxy playdough in an airtight container.
