Description

Create your own sparkly bouncing balls with simple household materials for a fun and tactile crafting experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of plain school glue
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of warm water
  • 23 tablespoons of liquid starch
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Food coloring (your choice)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Disposable gloves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of plain school glue with 1 tablespoon of warm water.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir gently until dissolved.
  3. If you’d like to add glitter, sprinkle it into the mixture and stir.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring and mix until well blended.
  5. Pour in 2 tablespoons of liquid starch and stir until the mixture begins to come together.
  6. If the mixture feels too sticky, add an extra tablespoon of liquid starch.
  7. Knead the mixture with your hands to form a cohesive ball.
  8. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  9. Allow the balls to rest for a few minutes to firm up.

Notes

Store sparkly bouncing balls in a soft cloth bag to maintain shape. Adjust the recipe for different sizes and variations.
