Ingredients
- 1 large plastic bin
- 5 cups of dried black beans or dark rice
- 1 cup of glitter (silver, gold, or any color)
- 1 set of plastic space figurines (aliens, rockets, planets)
- 1 cup of gemstones or marbles (for “planets”)
- 1 scoop or spoon for digging
- Optional: LED star lights for added ambiance
Instructions
- Prepare Your Bin: Start with a large plastic bin and pour in the dried black beans or dark rice as the base.
- Add Sparkle: Sprinkle glitter throughout the beans/rice to simulate stars in the universe.
- Fill with Space Objects: Place the plastic space figurines and add gemstones or marbles to represent planets.
- Equip Explorers: Provide your child with spoons for digging and encourage exploration.
- Optional Step: Set up LED star lights around the bin for a glowing effect.
Notes
Swap materials like colored sand or pom-poms for different textures. Add essential oils for scent, like lemon or mint.
