Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: Glitter, essential oils, or food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar. Whisk until evenly combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Gradually pour this into the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the dough thickens and pulls away from the sides.
  4. Once formed into a ball, let the dough cool for a few minutes. Then knead on a clean surface until smooth and stretchy.
  5. If desired, add glitter, essential oils, or food coloring. Knead again to mix evenly.
