A fun and easy recipe to make fluffy snowy dough for sensory play and winter-themed crafts.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup salt
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- Optional: Glitter, essential oils, or food coloring
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar. Whisk until evenly combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Gradually pour this into the dry ingredients while stirring continuously.
- Transfer the mixture to a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the dough thickens and pulls away from the sides.
- Once formed into a ball, let the dough cool for a few minutes. Then knead on a clean surface until smooth and stretchy.
- If desired, add glitter, essential oils, or food coloring. Knead again to mix evenly.
Notes
Store in an airtight container to keep fresh. Can last for 2-3 weeks when properly stored.
