Description

A meditative DIY project that invites you to create charming snail crafts from marble and air-dry clay.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay
  • Smooth marbles (various sizes)
  • Acrylic paint (optional)
  • Paintbrush
  • Toothpick or small sculpting tool
  • Craft glue
  • Soft cloth

Instructions

  1. Prepare your space by laying down a soft cloth and arranging materials.
  2. Take a palm-sized portion of air-dry clay and knead it gently.
  3. Shape the clay into an oval form for the snail’s body.
  4. Form a spiral using a smaller piece of clay for the snail’s shell.
  5. Attach the shell securely to the body.
  6. Add details with a toothpick, etching eyes or patterns on the shell.
  7. Place marbles as eyes and secure them with craft glue.
  8. Let the creation dry in a safe space.
  9. Optional: Add color with paint once dried.
  10. Enjoy your crafted snail by placing it in a sunny spot or gifting it.

Notes

Keep your snail in a cool, dry place for preservation. Refresh its look with a gentle wash and light clear coat if painted.
