A fun and educational project for making colorful, bouncy balls that combines science and creativity.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of white glue (PVA glue)
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon of water
- Food coloring (optional)
- Bowl for mixing
- Spoon or stir stick
- Wax paper or a plate for drying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of white glue with 1/2 teaspoon of water and stir well.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the glue mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch and food coloring (if desired), mixing until color is evenly distributed.
- When the mixture forms a ball, knead it with your hands until it is sticky but pliable.
- Shape the mixture into a ball and place it on wax paper or a plate to dry for at least 15 minutes.
Notes
Add glitter or experiment with shapes for a unique bouncy ball. Adjust the cornstarch for a firmer or softer texture.
