Description

A fun and educational project for making colorful, bouncy balls that combines science and creativity.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon of white glue (PVA glue)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon of water
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Bowl for mixing
  • Spoon or stir stick
  • Wax paper or a plate for drying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of white glue with 1/2 teaspoon of water and stir well.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the glue mixture and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch and food coloring (if desired), mixing until color is evenly distributed.
  4. When the mixture forms a ball, knead it with your hands until it is sticky but pliable.
  5. Shape the mixture into a ball and place it on wax paper or a plate to dry for at least 15 minutes.

Notes

Add glitter or experiment with shapes for a unique bouncy ball. Adjust the cornstarch for a firmer or softer texture.
