Ingredients
- 1-2 cups of table salt
- Various colors of food coloring
- Small jars or containers with lids
- Plastic wrap or a funnel (optional)
- Baking sheet (for drying, optional)
Instructions
- Measure 1 cup of table salt and place it in a bowl.
- Add a few drops of food coloring and stir well until evenly colored.
- Optionally, spread the colored salt on a baking sheet and air dry for about 30 minutes if it becomes clumpy.
- Start filling the jar with the first color of salt, using a funnel or plastic wrap if needed.
- Add more colors, pouring each gently and compacting with a spoon for clearer layers.
- Continue layering colors until the jar is full or desired look is achieved.
- Seal the jar tightly with a lid and display or gift it.
Notes
Add essential oils for a scented experience. Experiment with different types of salt for unique textures.
