Description

Craft a delightful Pool Noodle Ladybug Bird Feeder that invites whimsical birds into your garden, celebrating creativity and connection with nature.

Ingredients

  • 1 pool noodle
  • Acrylic paint (red, black, and yellow)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Utility knife or sharp scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • A decorative ribbon or twine
  • Bird seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace with newspaper or an old cloth.
  2. Cut the pool noodle into two segments: one 12 inches for the base and one 6 inches for the head.
  3. Paint the base red and allow it to dry completely.
  4. Paint the smaller segment black for the head.
  5. Glue the smaller black piece to one end of the red noodle piece.
  6. Create two antennae with black pipe cleaners and secure them on the head.
  7. Add black spots to the red body using paint.
  8. Glue on googly eyes for extra character.
  9. Finish with a decorative ribbon or twine around the noodle.
  10. Place the feeder outdoors and fill it with bird seeds.

Notes

Consider placing the feeder in a sheltered spot to protect it from harsh weather. You can refresh the paint over time if it fades.
