Description

A fun and soothing DIY project to create a vibrant pool noodle jellyfish decoration for your home.

Ingredients

  • Pool noodles (choose bright or soft colors)
  • Scissors (easy to handle)
  • Fishing line or thin string (to ease hanging)
  • Ribbon or streamers (for tentacles)
  • Optional: beads or sequins (to add sparkle)
  • Optional: markers (for additional decoration)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting a pool noodle into sections about 10 to 12 inches long.
  2. Use your scissors to create tentacles by cutting long strips from your remaining pool noodle, about half an inch wide.
  3. Cut your ribbon or streamers into various lengths, from 12 to 24 inches.
  4. Gather the tentacles and ribbon, tying them together with fishing line or string.
  5. Attach your fishing line to the top of the pool noodle section to serve as the jellyfish’s body.
  6. Add beads or sequins along the tentacles with a small dot of glue, if desired.
  7. Finally, hang your jellyfish decoration in a spot where it can sway and catch the light.

Notes

For seasonal display, store your jellyfish in a soft, dry place. Consider collaborating with friends or family for a more colorful display.
