Description

A simple and playful DIY project that invites birds to your garden while allowing you to connect with nature.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large pool noodle (any bright color)
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue or hot glue gun
  • 1 small, shallow container (like a pie tin or plastic lid)
  • A length of twine or sturdy string
  • Optional: paint, markers, or stickers

Instructions

  1. Select a section of your pool noodle to work with and cut about a six-inch length.
  2. Gently slice the noodle lengthwise, stopping about an inch from the end.
  3. Fill the container with birdseed.
  4. Place the filled container beneath the scooped out section of the noodle.
  5. Use craft glue or a hot glue gun to secure the two pieces together.
  6. Create a loop with the twine or string through the base of the pool noodle for hanging.
  7. Personalize your feeder with paint, stickers, or markers.
  8. Hang the feeder in an observable location for birdwatching.

Notes

Ensure that the glue has cured properly before placing the feeder outside. Regularly check and refill the birdseed as needed.
