A fun and eco-friendly craft project that repurposes plastic lids into beautiful sun catchers.
Ingredients
- Plastic lids (e.g., from jars or containers)
- Clear glue (preferably a craft glue or Mod Podge)
- Non-toxic acrylic paints or food coloring
- Paintbrushes
- Scissors
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
- Optional embellishments (e.g., sequins, beads, or glitter)
Instructions
- Prep Your Workspace: Gather materials on a flat surface and protect the area with newspaper or a craft mat.
- Paint the Lids: Select colors, squeeze paint into a palette, and use a paintbrush to apply paint to the inside of each lid.
- Glue & Layer: Once the paint dries, apply a layer of clear glue and add embellishments into the wet glue.
- Create a Hanging Mechanism: Cut a length of string and punch a small hole in the lid for hanging.
- Hang and Enjoy: Hang your suncatcher by a window and enjoy the colorful reflections!
