Description

A calming DIY project that transforms plastic bottles into whimsical dragonflies, embodying creativity and mindfulness.

Ingredients

  • Clean plastic bottles (2-liter bottles work well)
  • Scissors or a craft knife
  • Paint or permanent markers
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Pipe cleaners (for legs and antennas)
  • Adhesive (glue or hot glue gun)
  • Wire (optional)
  • Paintbrushes (if using paint)

Instructions

  1. Begin by carefully removing the labels from the plastic bottles.
  2. Cut the bottles in half horizontally.
  3. Shape the wings from the bottom half of the bottle.
  4. Decorate the wings and body using your paint or markers.
  5. Once the paint is dry, attach the wings to the body using your adhesive.
  6. Cut two pieces of pipe cleaner and twist them to form the legs.
  7. Finally, secure googly eyes onto the body of the dragonfly.
  8. If using wire, bend it into a shape that adds personality to each dragonfly.
