Create stunning DIY Pink Galaxy Eggshell Geodes using repurposed eggshells and vibrant colors. A fun and eco-friendly craft project for all ages.
Ingredients
- Clean eggshells (washed and dried)
- White glue (PVA glue)
- Water
- Food coloring or liquid watercolors (pink, blue, purple)
- Small bowls for mixing
- Paintbrush
- Baking tray or parchment paper
- Optional: Glitter, gems, or other embellishments
Instructions
- Carefully crack your eggshells and rinse them under warm water. Let the shells dry completely on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix equal parts white glue and water until smooth to create your adhesive base.
- In separate bowls, add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to the glue mixture. Mix well until desired color intensity is achieved.
- Using your paintbrush, apply the colored glue to the inside of the eggshells. Experiment with layering colors for a swirled look, and add glitter or gems while the glue is still wet.
- Place the decorated eggshells on the baking tray and allow them to dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight.
Notes
Consider using different color combinations or metallic paint for a unique look. Also, you can adapt this technique on other materials like paper or plastic.
