Description

A simple and creative way to feed birds while connecting with nature.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium to large pinecone
  • Peanut butter or lard
  • Birdseed (a mix of seeds)
  • Twine or string
  • Scissors
  • A plate or bowl

Instructions

  1. Begin by gathering your materials in a quiet space.
  2. If you’re using peanut butter, spread a generous layer over the pinecone.
  3. Roll the covered pinecone in a plate of birdseed.
  4. Once the pinecone is well-coated, cut a length of twine about 12 inches.
  5. Tread the twine through the top scales of the pinecone.
  6. Now, find a place to hang your feeder.
  7. As you clip the twine to the branch, take a step back.

Notes

Feel free to decorate the pinecone with natural materials for added charm.
