Description

Create vibrant paper flowers using simple coffee filters for a delightful DIY project that brings a touch of nature indoors.

Ingredients

  • Large white coffee filters
  • Acrylic paints or spray paint (or food coloring for an eco-friendly option)
  • Scissors
  • Pipe cleaners or floral wire
  • A small bowl of water
  • A paper towel or cloth
  • Optional: sequins, glitter, or buttons

Instructions

  1. Start by laying out your coffee filters on a flat surface.
  2. Dip a brush into your paint or spray a light mist over the filters.
  3. Once dry, take one coffee filter and stack several together.
  4. Pinch the center of the stacked filters together gently.
  5. Shape the petals by folding them outwards in a circular fashion.
  6. Secure your shape by taking a pipe cleaner or floral wire and wrapping it around the base of your flower.
  7. If you wish, use your fingers to fluff the petals gently.
  8. Repeat the process to create additional flowers in different colors.

Notes

These flowers are made from lightweight materials and are easy to store. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
