Description

Create a delightful bird feeder using oranges, welcoming feathered friends to your garden while enjoying a mindful crafting experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe oranges
  • Twine or natural string
  • Birdseed mix
  • A sharp knife
  • A cutting board or sturdy surface
  • A small scoop
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Start by gently washing the oranges and placing them on a stable cutting surface.
  2. Carefully slice the oranges in half, releasing their scent into your space.
  3. Using your fingers or a spoon, carefully scoop out the juicy segments, leaving a hollow cup.
  4. With the orange halves in hand, take the twine and cut a piece about 12 inches long.
  5. Thread the twine through the edge of each orange half, making a loop to act as a hanger.
  6. Pour the birdseed into the hollow orange cups using the scoop.
  7. Find a place to hang your bird feeders.
  8. Step back and admire your handiwork.

Notes

Consider using different citrus fruits or adding dried herbs to the birdseed for variety. Invite friends to join in the creation for a fun experience.
