Description
Create beautiful ocean-inspired suncatchers using blue beads that sparkle in the sunlight, bringing a calming presence to your space.
Ingredients
- Blue beads (various shades for depth)
- Fishing line or thin string (transparent works best)
- Scissors (for cutting the line)
- A small, sturdy hoop or a piece of driftwood (for hanging)
- Optional: shells, charms, or other sea-themed embellishments
- Optional: a glue gun (for securing the ends)
Instructions
- Start by cutting a piece of fishing line to your desired length. This will serve as your base for the suncatcher.
- Take a moment to choose your beads. Pick out a mix of blues, from pale sky tones to deeper ocean hues.
- Thread a bead onto the fishing line, allowing its smoothness to lead you into a rhythm.
- Continue adding beads, alternating sizes and colors as you go.
- Once you have threaded several beads, hold them up to the light.
- After you are satisfied with the length and design, tie a knot at the end of the line to secure the beads in place.
- If using a hoop or driftwood, wrap the line around it and secure it with a small knot.
- Trim any excess line, and if you want, use a glue gun to secure the knots.
Notes
Caring for your suncatcher helps maintain its beauty over time. If dust collects on the beads, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
