Description
Make おばけ👻の折り方, an easy crochet lap blanket with calm rows, clear US terms, simple care, and a soft handmade feel.
Ingredients
- Worsted weight yarn (weight 4, medium), about 170 yards per 100 g skein, 10 skeins for about 1,700 total yards and 1,000 g (35.3 ounces)
- H-8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle with a wide eye for weaving in ends
- Small sharp scissors
- Tape measure
- Two stitch markers, optional
Instructions
- Make a chain of 142 stitches for the foundation chain.
- Skip the first 3 chains, work 1 double crochet into the fourth chain from the hook.
- Continue with 1 double crochet in each chain across to end with 140 double crochet stitches, then turn work.
- Make 3 chains at the beginning of the next row as the turning chain and count as the first double crochet.
- Work 1 double crochet in each stitch across, placing the final stitch into the top of the turning chain from the previous row.
- Repeat steps for each remaining row until you have a total of 96 rows, maintaining 140 stitches in each row.
- At the end of Row 96, fasten off by cutting the yarn and pulling the tail through the final loop.
- Weave in the ends with a yarn needle.
Notes
A yarn swatch is recommended to ensure proper gauge. Check for consistency in yarn color if using different skeins.
