Ingredients
- Coffee filters (standard size)
- Scissors
- Floral wire or pipe cleaners
- Green floral tape
- Acrylic or watercolor paints
- A small paintbrush
- Optional: beads or buttons for embellishments
Instructions
- Begin by laying your coffee filters flat on your table.
- If you choose to add color, take your paint and brush and lightly dab color onto the filters.
- Once dry, take one filter and gently fold it in half, then fold it in half again.
- Use your scissors to round off the top edge of the folded filter.
- Repeat this step, creating at least five to seven petals for a fuller flower.
- Stack the petals on top of one another, slightly offsetting each layer.
- If you have beads or buttons, gently attach one to the center using glue.
- Wrap the floral wire or pipe cleaner with green floral tape, beginning at the base of the flower.
- Step back and admire your creation.
Notes
These flowers last for years if stored properly. They can be reshaped and repainted for renewed decor.
