Transform simple materials into glowing window art full of colorful light with this delightful DIY project.

Ingredients

  • Clear contact paper or transparent laminate sheets
  • Colored tissue paper or film
  • Scissors
  • String or fishing line
  • A flat working surface

Instructions

  1. Cut out a piece of contact paper or laminate about the size you want your suncatcher to be.
  2. Carefully peel off one side of the contact paper, exposing the sticky surface.
  3. Using your colored tissue paper or film, cut or tear pieces into shapes and sizes.
  4. Start placing the tissue pieces onto the sticky surface of the contact paper.
  5. Once you’re happy with your arrangement, peel the top layer of the contact paper and place it over the design.
  6. Trim around the edges of your suncatcher, removing any excess paper.
  7. Cut a length of string or fishing line, and attach it to the top of your suncatcher.
  8. Find a lovely spot near a window to hang your suncatcher.

Notes

Dust lightly with a soft cloth to keep it looking fresh. Experiment with different materials and shapes for unique designs.
