Description
Create a stunning iridescent CD mosaic flower pot that transforms discarded materials into a vibrant piece of art for your home.
Ingredients
- Old CDs (about 5-10, depending on your design)
- Strong adhesive (craft glue or a hot glue gun)
- A small terracotta flower pot (preferably unpainted)
- Scissors (heavy-duty works best for cutting CDs)
- Optional: ribbon or twine for embellishment
- Optional: a clear sealant for added durability
Instructions
- Begin by laying out your workspace. Clear a surface that allows for easy movement and breathability.
- Carefully take your old CDs and use scissors to cut them into small pieces.
- As you cut, notice the glimmer of colors that appear.
- Once you have a good assortment of pieces, take your flower pot and decide on a pattern.
- Starting from the bottom of the pot, begin gluing the CD pieces.
- Continue gluing your pieces, overlapping some for a more textured look.
- After you finish gluing the entire flower pot, let it dry completely.
- If you want your flower pot to be more durable, you can add a thin layer of clear sealant over your mosaic once it’s dry.
- Let the sealant dry completely before placing your new flower pot in its intended spot.
