Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of salt (optional for texture)
  • Food coloring (various colors)

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating 1 cup of water in your kitchen pot until it is just steaming.
  2. Add the 1 cup of sugar to the steaming water, stirring gently until it fully dissolves.
  3. If using salt, sprinkle in the 2 cups and stir until it’s completely incorporated.
  4. Divide the mixture into small bowls, adding food coloring to create different colors.
  5. Carefully pour the colored mixtures into your molds.
  6. Let the molds sit undisturbed for about 24 hours.
  7. Once dry, gently remove your crystals from the molds.

Notes

Store crystals in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their vibrant colors.
