Description
Create a stunning Double-Ring Sunburst Beaded Suncatcher that brightens your space with vibrant colors.
Ingredients
- Two metal rings (one large, one slightly smaller)
- Beads (various colors, shapes, and sizes)
- Nylon thread or fishing line
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Optional: a small bowl or tray for organizing beads
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace: Clear a calm surface where you can lay out your materials.
- Select your rings: Take the larger and smaller rings and notice how they feel in your hand.
- Create your bead string: Cut a piece of nylon thread long enough to wrap around your rings multiple times.
- Start beading the inner ring: Thread your first bead onto the string, pulling it through until it rests about a foot from one end.
- Attach the smaller ring: Loop your string around the smaller ring and bring it back through the bead.
- Continue beading: Alternate beads, adding variety and color as you thread them one by one.
- Secure the beads: Make several knots to secure your beads in place once you reach the desired length.
- Attach the larger ring: Slide the beaded string around the larger ring and secure everything together.
- Finish with a knot: Tie off your thread and snip away excess thread.
- Hang your creation: Find a sunny spot and hang your suncatcher to enjoy the light dancing through it.
