Instructions
- Mix together 2 cups of granulated sugar, 1 cup of corn syrup, and 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan.
- Stir gently over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add 1 packet of fruit-flavored gelatin to the pot.
- Stir slowly and watch as the gelatin melts into the mixture.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Pour the warm mixture into prepared molds.
- Allow the gumdrops to sit at room temperature for about 6 hours or until fully set.
- Remove the gumdrops from their molds and roll in powdered sugar if desired.
- Store your gumdrops in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
