Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 packet fruit-flavored gelatin (any flavor)
  • Optional: powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Mix together 2 cups of granulated sugar, 1 cup of corn syrup, and 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir gently over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add 1 packet of fruit-flavored gelatin to the pot.
  4. Stir slowly and watch as the gelatin melts into the mixture.
  5. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the pot from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  7. Pour the warm mixture into prepared molds.
  8. Allow the gumdrops to sit at room temperature for about 6 hours or until fully set.
  9. Remove the gumdrops from their molds and roll in powdered sugar if desired.
  10. Store your gumdrops in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
