Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 teaspoon of flavoring extract (e.g., mint, cherry, or bubble gum)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • A microwave-safe bowl
  • A rolling pin
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Place the gum base in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds until it softens, stirring halfway through.
  2. Add the corn syrup to the melted gum base and stir until well combined.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing until you achieve a smooth, pliable consistency.
  4. Add your chosen flavoring extract and a few drops of food coloring if desired, then knead the mixture until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the gum to a clean, flat surface dusted with powdered sugar and flatten to your desired thickness using a rolling pin.
  6. Cut the flattened gum into desired shapes or sizes and store in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
