Ingredients
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Food coloring or natural dyes
- Wax paper
- Cookie cutter shapes (optional)
- String or wire for hanging (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cornstarch, water, and vinegar. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture thickens (about 5-10 minutes).
- Separate the mixture into smaller bowls and add food coloring or natural dyes, mixing thoroughly.
- Place wax paper on a flat surface. Use cookie cutters or pour the mixture directly onto the wax paper to create shapes.
- Allow the suncatchers to dry for 24-48 hours, then gently peel them off the wax paper.
- Use string or wire to hang the suncatchers in a window and enjoy the colorful light!
Notes
Experiment with adding glitter, dried flowers, or leaves for texture. Mix colors for gradient effects and use seasonal cookie cutters for themed designs.
