Create adorable crochet keychains in the shape of ghosts, pumpkins, and bats, perfect for Halloween. This beginner-friendly project offers a rhythmic and enjoyable crafting experience.
Ingredients
- Worsted weight yarn, weight 4 medium, preferably acrylic, about 90 total yards (one 170-yard per 100 g skein)
- Black, orange, cream, gray, or purple worsted weight yarn in small amounts for seasonal colors
- H-8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill, about 1 ounce (28 g) for the full bundle
- Yarn needle with a blunt tip

Instructions
- Choose one main color and make a magic ring, chaining 1 to bring the yarn up to working height. Work 6 single crochet into the ring, pull the yarn tail gently to close the center, and slip stitch to the first single crochet. Place a stitch marker in the first stitch.
- For Round 2, chain 1 and work 2 single crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to the first single crochet and move the marker.
- For Round 3, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in the next stitch, then 2 single crochet in the following stitch around the circle. Slip stitch to the first stitch and move the marker.
- For Round 4, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in each of the next two stitches, then 2 single crochet in the next stitch around. Join with a slip stitch.
- For Round 5, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in each of the next three stitches, then 2 single crochet in the next stitch around. Join with a slip stitch.
- For Round 6, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in each of the next four stitches, then 2 single crochet in the next stitch around. Join with a slip stitch.
- Work Rounds 7 through 12 even. Chain 1, then work 1 single crochet in each stitch around, and join with a slip stitch after every round.
- For Round 13, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in each of the next four stitches, then single crochet two stitches together around. Join with a slip stitch.
- For Round 14, chain 1. Repeat single crochet in each of the next three stitches, then single crochet two stitches together around. Join with a slip stitch.
