Description
Create enchanting glowing bubble lamps using simple materials for a mesmerizing ambiance.
Ingredients
- Clear plastic bottles (empty soda bottles)
- Water
- Vegetable oil
- Food coloring
- Alka-Seltzer tablets or vinegar and baking soda
- Small LED light or glow stick
- Optional: Glitter or small decorative items
Instructions
- Rinse out and clean the plastic bottle thoroughly and remove labels.
- Fill the bottle 1/4 full with water and pour in vegetable oil almost to the top.
- Add drops of food coloring and swirl gently to mix.
- Drop in half an Alka-Seltzer tablet or a tablespoon of vinegar followed by a teaspoon of baking soda.
- Place your LED light or glow stick at the bottom of the bottle and enjoy the calming glow!
Notes
For extra sparkle, sprinkle in glitter before adding the Alka-Seltzer. Experiment with different colors and bottle sizes for unique effects.
