Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of cotton candy-flavored frosting
- 1 cup of white chocolate chips
- Food coloring (blue, purple, pink)
- Edible glitter (optional)
- Sprinkles
- Lollipop sticks (optional for presentation)
Instructions
- Preheat your Oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the baked cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl using your hands.
- Pour the cotton candy frosting over the crumbled cake and mix well until combined.
- Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a microwave or double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips until smooth.
- Divide the melted chocolate into three bowls and add blue, purple, and pink food coloring to each.
- Dip each cake ball into the different colored chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place them back onto the baking sheet.
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle edible glitter and colorful sprinkles on top.
- Allow the chocolate coating to set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Notes
You can swap out the cotton candy frosting for another flavor, like strawberry or blueberry.
