Description

A fun and visually stunning treat that combines cotton candy flavors with moist cake, beautifully decorated to resemble a dreamy galaxy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of cotton candy-flavored frosting
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • Food coloring (blue, purple, pink)
  • Edible glitter (optional)
  • Sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks (optional for presentation)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the baked cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl using your hands.
  6. Pour the cotton candy frosting over the crumbled cake and mix well until combined.
  7. Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. In a microwave or double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips until smooth.
  9. Divide the melted chocolate into three bowls and add blue, purple, and pink food coloring to each.
  10. Dip each cake ball into the different colored chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place them back onto the baking sheet.
  11. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle edible glitter and colorful sprinkles on top.
  12. Allow the chocolate coating to set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Notes

You can swap out the cotton candy frosting for another flavor, like strawberry or blueberry.
