Description

Craft delightful bird feeders using dried fruits and grains to attract feathered friends to your garden.

Ingredients

  • Dried fruits (such as cranberries, raisins, or apple pieces)
  • Birdseed mixes
  • Apple cores or orange halves (optional)
  • Twine or jute string
  • Peanut butter
  • Large popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
  • A mixing bowl

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your dried fruits and grains. Place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. If using apple cores or orange halves, scoop out the innermost part to create a bowl.
  3. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the inside of the fruit.
  4. Next, sprinkle your birdseed mix into the peanut butter, pressing it down.
  5. For added stability, insert the popsicle sticks or wooden skewers into the side of the fruit.
  6. Finally, create a loop with the twine to hang your feeder.
  7. Find a lovely spot to hang your feeder and enjoy watching the birds.

Notes

Check the feeder regularly for freshness and replace any spoiled contents. You can reuse components with new ingredients.
