Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- Mixing bowl
- Baking sheet
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutters (star shapes recommended)
- Acrylic paint (for decorating)

- String or ribbon (for hanging)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 cup of salt.
- Gradually add 1 cup of water while stirring until a dough forms; it should be smooth and pliable.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5 minutes, dusting with more flour if needed.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten out the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut shapes from the dough using star-shaped cookie cutters and place on a baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and bake the stars for 2-3 hours until completely dry.
- Allow them to cool completely.
- Decorate using acrylic paint and let them dry.
- Thread string or ribbon through the holes and tie a knot for hanging.
