Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- Optional: food coloring
- Optional: glitter
- Optional: rolling pin
- Optional: star-shaped cookie cutter
- Optional: paint for decorating (acrylic recommended)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Gradually add water and mix until a dough forms.
- Transfer to a clean surface and knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and pliable.
- If desired, knead in a few drops of food coloring for vibrant stars.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Press a star-shaped cookie cutter into the dough to create star shapes.
- Use a straw or skewer to make holes at the top of each star for hanging.
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (94°C) and place stars on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 2-3 hours until completely dry.
- Once cooled, paint or decorate with glitter as desired and let dry completely.
Notes
Customize colors using natural dyes or add textures before baking for unique designs. Seal stars with a clear sealant after decorating to protect them.
