Description

A delightful and calming DIY project to create colorful pom-pom flowers using yarn and a fork.

Ingredients

  • Yarn (choose soft, colorful options)
  • A fork (standard size works well)
  • Scissors (sharp enough to cut through yarn)
  • Optional: green felt or paper (for leaves and stems)
  • Optional: floral wire (for arranging)

Instructions

  1. Wrap the yarn around the fork’s tines about 50 to 70 times, depending on how fluffy you’d like your pom-pom to be.
  2. Cut a length of yarn approximately 10 inches long once you have enough wraps.
  3. Slide the wrapped yarn off the fork, keeping it intact.
  4. Take the length of yarn you cut earlier and tightly tie it around the center of the wrapped yarn bundles.
  5. Trim the loops on each end to create the fluffy pom-pom look.
  6. Give your pom-pom a gentle shake and fluff it with your fingers.
  7. Repeat these steps to make additional pom-poms in various sizes and colors.
  8. Cut shapes from felt or paper for leaves or stems and attach them to the pom-poms with floral wire or additional yarn.
  9. Find a lovely spot in your home to showcase your new Fork Pom-Pom Flower Bouquet.

Notes

Store the bouquet in a cool, dry place. You can refresh your bouquet by changing some pom-poms or creating new ones as desired.
