Ingredients
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of corn starch
- Food coloring (various colors)
- ½ cup of vinegar
- Mixing bowls
- Whisk or spoon
- Ice cube trays or muffin tins (for molding)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, corn starch, and water. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.
- Divide the mixture evenly into separate bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix to achieve desired shades.
- Pour the colored mixtures into ice cube trays or muffin tins, filling them to the top.
- Carefully pour a small amount of vinegar over the filled molds to create a fizzy reaction.
- Let the molds sit for 24 hours or until completely dry, then pop out your fizzy chalk paint.
Notes
Customize colors by experimenting with different food coloring combinations. For a gluten-free option, replace corn starch with arrowroot powder.
