Description

A fun and interactive DIY project that combines painting with a fizzy reaction using baking soda and vinegar, perfect for kids and art enthusiasts alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of corn starch
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • ½ cup of vinegar
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Ice cube trays or muffin tins (for molding)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, corn starch, and water. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Divide the mixture evenly into separate bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix to achieve desired shades.
  3. Pour the colored mixtures into ice cube trays or muffin tins, filling them to the top.
  4. Carefully pour a small amount of vinegar over the filled molds to create a fizzy reaction.
  5. Let the molds sit for 24 hours or until completely dry, then pop out your fizzy chalk paint.

Notes

Customize colors by experimenting with different food coloring combinations. For a gluten-free option, replace corn starch with arrowroot powder.
