Description

Transform ordinary coffee filters into beautiful handmade flowers with simple techniques and vibrant colors.

Ingredients

  • Dollar Tree coffee filters
  • Squeeze bottle for food coloring
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Pipe cleaners (for flower stems)
  • A shallow dish or tray for drying flowers
  • Water (to mix with food coloring)

Instructions

  1. Start by laying out your coffee filters.
  2. In your squeeze bottle, mix a few drops of food coloring with water.
  3. Hold a filter and squeeze color onto the center.
  4. Allow the filters to absorb the color.
  5. Once you have the desired depth of color, set your filters aside to dry.
  6. After drying, take a filter and gather the edges toward the center.
  7. Wrap a pipe cleaner around the base to secure the petals.
  8. Repeat with more filters to create a bouquet.

Notes

Store flowers in a dry, cool location away from direct sunlight. Refresh colors with food coloring as needed.
