A simple yet beautiful DIY project to create charming flowers from coffee filters, bringing nature’s beauty indoors.
Ingredients
- Coffee filters (white or brown)
- Green floral wire (or any thin, sturdy wire)
- Scissors
- Watercolors or food coloring
- Small cup or spray bottle
- A sponge or paper towels
- Optional: glitter, beads, or buttons
Instructions
- Start by taking one coffee filter and place it flat on the table.
- If you want to add color, use your watercolors or food coloring to lightly paint or spray the filter and set it aside to dry.
- While waiting, take another filter and gently crumple it in your hands.
- Stack three to four crumpled filters on top of each other.
- Pinch the filters together at the center, forming a rounded bouquet at the top.
- Take your floral wire and wrap it around the base where you pinched the filters.
- Cut the wire to your desired stem length.
- Carefully pull the layers apart to shape the flower petals.
- If desired, sprinkle some glitter on top of the damp filters.
- Finally, display your flowers in a vase or jar.
Notes
These flowers are resilient and can last for months with proper care. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity to maintain vibrant colors.
