Description
A delightful DIY craft project for creating beautiful coffee filter flowers, perfect for Mother’s Day and nurturing creativity.
Ingredients
- White coffee filters
- Colorful markers (washable, non-toxic preferred)
- Scissors
- Pipe cleaners
- Optional: Glitter, paint, or stickers for added decoration
- A small spray bottle with water
- A bowl or tray for holding the flowers
Instructions
- Start by taking a few white coffee filters. Stack two or three together for more fullness.
- Gently pinch the center of the stack to create a small peak. Hold it tightly with one hand.
- With your other hand, use scissors to round off the top edges, creating a soft petal shape.
- Next, choose your markers and begin to color the filters.
- If you have a spray bottle, lightly mist the colored filters with water to blend the colors.
- After a moment, carefully separate each filter to see the gradients created by the water. Let them dry completely.
- Once dried, stack them again and gently pinch the center. Secure with a pipe cleaner.
- Fluff the petals by gently pulling them outward for a blooming effect.
- If desired, add a sprinkle of glitter or a sticker for extra charm.
Notes
Each flower feels unique, representing the time spent crafting and connecting. Store them in a dry, flat area for longevity.
