Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cornstarch
- ½ cup water
- Dried flowers (rose petals, lavender, or any preferred blooms)
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or whisk for stirring
- Silicone heart molds
- Wax paper for drying
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the cornstarch and water in a bowl. Stir slowly until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
- Add food coloring if desired, mixing gently until you achieve a soothing color.
- Incorporate the dried flowers to distribute them evenly throughout the mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into heart-shaped molds, filling just enough to create a lovely thickness.
- Smooth the tops gently for a polished finish.
- Place the molds on wax paper and allow them to dry at room temperature for about 24-48 hours.
- Pop the charms out of the molds once dry.
- Make a small hole for hanging if desired, using a skewer before the charms finish drying.
- Store the completed charms in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Notes
Consider adding herbs like dried lavender for an aromatic experience. Use different molds for variety and to keep it fun for kids. Adding a glaze after drying can enhance the charm’s visual appeal.
