Ingredients
- Air-dry clay or oven-bake clay

- Heart-shaped cookie cutters
- A rolling pin
- A baking sheet (for oven-bake clay)
- Wax paper
- Clear varnish
- String or twine
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace. Lay down wax paper to protect your surface and set out all your materials.
- Take a portion of the clay and roll it into a ball.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the clay into a smooth disc.
- Select your heart-shaped cookie cutter and press it into the flattened clay.
- Carefully lift the heart and place it on the baking sheet or set aside if using air-dry clay.
- Now, it’s time to paint. Choose your colors and swirl them together.
- Allow your painted hearts to dry completely.
- Once dry, protect your creation with a clear varnish.
- Finally, attach a string or piece of twine for hanging.
Notes
Store ornaments in an airy spot away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Can be repainted or reimagined for different seasons.
