Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- Food coloring (optional)
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Rolling pin
- Sculpting tools (optional: toothpicks, cookie cutters, etc.)
- Paint and brushes (for decorating)
- Sealer (clear acrylic spray or glue for finishing)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 cup of salt.
- Add Water: Gradually add 1 cup of water and, if desired, incorporate a few drops of food coloring.
- Mix and Knead: Stir until a dough forms and knead until smooth and pliable.
- Roll Out the Dough: Use the rolling pin to flatten the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
- Create Shapes: Use cookie cutters or sculpt shapes by hand to design your monsters.
- Prepare for Baking: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the shaped monsters on it.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C) and bake for 2-3 hours, or until hard and dry.
- Cool Down: Let the monsters cool completely.
- Paint and Seal: Paint with acrylic paints and apply a sealer to protect them.
Notes
Store any leftover dough in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can air-dry the creations, but it may take several days.
