Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of corn syrup
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Small clear containers or jars
- Craft sticks or wooden skewers
- Wax paper
- Optional: Glitter
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Divide the syrup evenly into your containers. Add drops of food coloring to each container and mix.
- Stir in the corn syrup to enhance the crystal formation. Let the solutions cool for about 15 minutes.
- Place craft sticks or wooden skewers into each container. Allow them to sit undisturbed at room temperature for several days.
- Once crystals have formed, carefully remove them and place them on wax paper to dry. Arrange them creatively in a display.
