Description

Craft delightful caterpillar plant stakes using colorful pool noodles to add a whimsical touch to your garden.

Ingredients

  • Pool noodles (choose bright colors)
  • Wooden dowels
  • Fun, colorful googly eyes
  • Craft glue or a hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Optional: paint or markers for additional decoration

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the pool noodles into sections, about 2–3 inches long.
  2. Take a wooden dowel and choose one end as the base, gently pushing it into one end of a pool noodle segment.
  3. Repeat this process by stacking additional noodle segments on top, securing each with a dab of glue.
  4. Once your caterpillar reaches the desired length, let it sit for a few moments to notice the colors and forms.
  5. Now, grab your googly eyes and attach them to one end of the caterpillar using craft glue.
  6. If desired, add final decorative elements with paint or markers.
  7. Finally, allow the glue to dry fully before placing your caterpillar stakes among your plants.

Notes

These caterpillar stakes can be reused by washing them gently and storing in a cool, dry place.
